Peru > Surf safari Peru
What do you know about Peru? Well, apart from its breathtaking cultural wonders, including Machu Picchu, and the incredible diversity of its landscape, it was also one of the first countries in the world where surfing was practised. For years and years, Peruvians have been riding some of the longest and most deserted left-hand point breaks in the world, like Chicama, Pacasmayo, Lobitos and Cabo Blanco. Whether you like big carving walls that seem to go on forever, or just barrel time in Cabo Blanco; Peru can deliver it all!
Did you also realise how good Peru's cuisine is? Lima is now one of the restaurant capitals of the world - just stand a while on any jetty to watch the fishing boats landing a huge variety of the freshest fish anywhere on the coast and you will understand why this is so.........we think it's worth travelling to Peru for the tuna alone!
The gentle, friendly nature of the Peruvian people will also warm your heart.
The Surfing.......
Of course the best reason to visit Peru, if you are a surfer, is to experience its perfect, left-hand peeling waves; You will ride the same wave for so long, your legs may give up before the wave does! And the crowds? There aren't any!! Yes it can be a bit of a hike to get there depending on your origin, but the reward makes the journey worthwhile; this is a truly spectacular and unspoilt surfing destination, so be sure to visit Peru before the crowds arrive.

Climate
Mancora, in the north of Peru has been voted by National Geographic as having one of the 10 best climates in the world, warm and dry during the day and cool at night, so you will sleep well after your epic rides. You won't need to take an umbrella either, since it hardly ever rains in this part of the world.
